Bowling Wars (Part II) and the Asahi Beer Factory

Shortly after determining the teams we began to bowl. I played fair the first game bowling a 130 (which was our practice game) but didn't fare as well the next game, but there was an interesting story to along with it. I was the last bowler on my team, so I was told to wait for everyone else to come to the final frame where we would all bowl in turn and seeing as it was a very very close game between three of the four teams there definitely was enough suspense to make it exciting.

The first three bowled and it was my turn. I threw it down the lane getting seven pins leaving behind pins #1,3,6 not too difficult a spare but with the intensity of money resting on this last game it made it all the more bothersome. I learned towards the end of the game that the first place team wouldn't be paying any money, second place would pay for the half of the first place team, third place would have to pay for the other half of second place as well as half of their own and lastly fourth would be be playing the most with their whole team as well as the last half of third place.

Anyway, back to the story. To keep the long dramatics short, I picked up the spare but heres the kicker: I thought our team had already won. I added the pins wrong in my head so when I went to throw the ball the last time I threw it without much regard to where it was going to go. Needless to say I got a gutter ball and lost by 1 pin. The final was 220 to our 219.

I didn't live it down that night, and I don't think I ever will.

Beer Factory.

People who try drinking for the first time get drunk.

People who have never been drunk before are funny.

Funny people think they can say the alphabet.

The alphabet is not as easy as it seems when you're 'funny.'

Beer Factory was a good day.

I didn't drink, but I pounded a fair amount of canned OJs.

Tomorrow I'll have more on the thoughts and experiences of today as our trip slowly comes to a halt.

Hopefully I'll have a recap day where I can fully express all the events leading up to the first post I made (which was later into the trip).

Goodnight.
