In Retrospective (Part II)

This is the second in a series of posts that will be dealing with the time spent in Japan before I was able to write it down here. I'm hoping that I will be able pull my thoughts together in an organized manner as well as offer all my possible insights when they come. So, let's start then.

Down to the Wire

The semester abroad is coming to an end and Im not sure how I feel about it yet. I know when I studied in Prague it took a few weeks after coming home to begin realize the full impact my experience had had on me. This time, though, its slightly different, I think it`ll be the same. In all Im amazed at everything we`ve done in the past 5 weeks! When I think back to Tokyo it seems like forever ago that we were there. At the same time it feels like we only just got here.

Bowling Wars (Part II) and the Asahi Beer Factory

Shortly after determining the teams we began to bowl. I played fair the first game bowling a 130 (which was our practice game) but didn't fare as well the next game, but there was an interesting story to along with it. I was the last bowler on my team, so I was told to wait for everyone else to come to the final frame where we would all bowl in turn and seeing as it was a very very close game between three of the four teams there definitely was enough suspense to make it exciting.

Tachibana Yama

A couple of days ago, Marlon and Kevin hiked with me up a mountain up the road from our dorm. I`d been wanting to do it for a while, and I was prepared and extecting to climb stright up the hillside through the brush and trees, forging a way as we went. Fortunately, it didn`t come to that. There was a trail. We left about 3:30pm and arrived home very near 8:00.
